HBCU for sale.....SOLD!- Part 1

As everyone knows from our previous posts, the Center for Justice Research is a Koch front much like centers at Auburn, George Mason and Florida State University. The Kochs and their cronies operate by creating so-called "academic centers" sometimes hiding behind other organizations as they did with our campus, funneling the money through the Thurgood Marshal Scholarship Fund.  These centers typical churn out white papers and other pseudo-scientific documents and official-sounding "reports" in order to give the appearance of a serious and legitimate academic think-tank on a college campus after which the Kochs then go to state legislatures waving the "scientific" papers and lobby for changes in business practices which of course directly benefit them.  The only people who win are the Kochs and their cronies who either directly or indirectly own businesses which benefit from the newly deregulated laws and/or favorable business climate approved by the governor and state legislature.  This is just one way the Kochs use universities and colleges for their monetary gain.

Our CJR lead by Dr. Howard Henderson, flanked by Drs. Onwudiwe, Baker and Drake were heavily criticized last year in Fall 2019, with not one but two Houston Chronicle articles.  Not only that, but 31 academics wrote an open letter condemning their "research".  There have even been rumors from graduate students that the Center was conducting human subject testing without going through IRB approval.  We find all of this extremely concerning especially based on past negative press.

How is a group (CJR) that is funded entirely by the Koch's who provide supplies to law enforcement going to do anything positive for police reform?  How exactly can a police advisory group funded by the Kochs' be unbiased especially based on Director Henderson's past history as reported by the Houston Chronicle?

Moreover, we have to wonder if Mayor Turner was politically savvy in placing Director Henderson on the Houston Police Reform Task Force.  With his past issues with fudgy reports and arguably too cozy a relationship with DA Kim Ogg, maybe Director Henderson should have been left off this particular task force.  We feel sure there could have been plenty of other more qualified TSU administrators who could have been a better choice.  Already leaders in Texas Organizing Project, the League of United Latin American Citizens, as well as Black Lives Matter Houston have not been supportive of this task force, neither has our own Dr. James Douglas of NAACP and TSU:
