Update on "Musical Chairs" Re-shuffling- SOPA

An update on our post from June 19, 2020:

https://transparencystate.blogspot.com/2020/06/musical-chairs-re-shuffle-ongoing-at-tsu.html

Looks like at least one Dean- Dean George Kieh has quietly announced 2 out of the 3 departments in SOPA- Administration of Justice and Political Science have new Interim Chairs- AJ has named Dr. Jasmine Drake (8th Chair in 12 years) and Political Science has named Dr. Rina Majumdar (3rd chair in 12 years). We say "quietly" because he hasn't emailed a SOPA-wide announcement for the 3 chairs, but is emailing each department separately.  Normally, there is a SOPA-wide email for chair announcements to have full transparency.  Why the secrecy?

We wish both the incoming Chairs much luck especially since one of them has NEVER taught a single undergraduate class and will likely be wholly unprepared to understand our undergraduate needs especially in the Age of the Coronavirus and the other Interim Chair has a Ph.D. in Chemistry which we find somewhat odd and incongruent with the Faculty Manual's requirements for the Chair's expertise to be in the department in which they have to govern(?).

When the announcement for the AJ and Poli Sci Interim Chairs was sent on July 10, one Interim Chair never even received a single congratulatory announcement publicly (although she did email the department her acceptance).  Dean Kieh had to waddle in on Monday and provide his own congratulatory message to boost up the lackluster support for the incoming Interim Chair (still no one responded with congratulations reportedly) and the other Interim Chair (despite thanking the previous Chair publicly for his past "leadership") never received a public congratulatory message from the outgoing Chair (awwwwkward.....).

Still more oddness- Dean Kieh has either ignored or refused to provide final voting results to any of the 3 departments.  This is quite standard after an election of chairs and past good governance, shared faculty transparency and accountability to provide the final voting tally.  Why the secrecy?
And finally- Dean Kieh hasn't yet announced the Urban Planning (UPEP) Interim Chair even though the other 2 (AJ and Poli Sci) were announced more than 10 days ago.   Why the delay when 1 of the UPEP candidates has already been emailed that they did not get the Chair job.  Will the real Interim Chair of UPEP please stand up?
